More than 1k available job vacancies in Phil. Industrial Summit Job Fair

 

Cagayan de Oro City --- At least 1,119 job vacancies are available on 28 November 2019 at the Limketkai Luxe Hotel Ballroom, here during the Philippine Industrial Summit cum Job Fair sponsored by the Phividec Industrial Estates in Misamis Oriental (PIE-MO) and PHIVIDEC Industrial Authority (PIA).

 

In partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE-X) – Cagayan de Oro City Field Office (CDO FO) and the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), reports indicate the top number of vacancies are posted from Black Water  (203 vacancies), VXI (185), and RTMI (163).

 

Of the confirmed job vacancies solicited, DOLE-X CDO FO Chief Ebba B. Acosta said around 24 private companies mostly from the service industry will join.

 

PIE-MO and PIA specifically emphasized that the Job Fair shall cater only to local job vacancies to encourage employment in the locality and boost the economic and employment situation. Target applicants are all the unemployed, skilled/unskilled workers, fresh college and tech-voc graduates and employees seeking career advancement.

 

Acosta said there are no extra-ordinary requirements to be prepared by the jobseekers. She highlighted their preparedness for interview and presentation of documents that may be asked which include but not limited to transcript of records, diploma, certificate of employment, certificate of training, and others. Jobseekers simply need to meet the basic requirements of the prospective employers by being themselves and to showcase a full package of readiness of soon to be joiners of the labor force.

 

The summit is a merger of industrial networks and intends to promote collaboration and establish meaningful linkages and a platform of discussion between private and public sectors geared towards defining and designing their integral role in the industrialization program in the country. Likewise, create initiatives will be encouraged to amplify the implementation of Administrative Order No. 18, or the Accelerating Rural Progress through Robust Development of Special Economic Zones in the countryside.

 

The activity is anchored on the theme, “Building an assertive industrial Philippines.”
