More than 5K vacant jobs available in DOLE’s online 123rd Independence Day Job and Business Fair

Cagayan de Oro City, 7 June – The Department of Labor and Employment, Regional Office No. X (DOLE-X) OIC-Regional Director Albert E. Gutib said that as of 3 June 2021, there are about 3,740 local and 1,577 overseas jobs or a total of 5,317 vacancies initially offered starting Monday, 7 June 2021, during the week-long (7-12 June 2021) online job and business fair in the entire Northern Mindanao region, in line with the 123rd Philippine Independence Day celebration on 12 June 2021.


Director Gutib said that the same with the Labor Day Online Job Fair, DOLE-X collaborated with the digital portal


Local job postings for NorthMin region are all posted in the said website.


Security Guards tops the list with 1,000 available jobs; this is followed by Drug Enforcement Officer I (800)Factory Worker (560)Technical Support Expert (160); Customer Service Representative (151); Cashier (150); Prequalifications Specialist (120); Sales Representative (100); Software Engineer (80); and Field Collection Officer (50), among others.


“Since this will be an online job fair, applicants must prepare in digital copies their resume or they can make one thru Mynimo’s online template,” Director Gutib said.


Job seekers must first register and post their credentials and application cover letters at The applicants have the option to either post their updated resume or they can create one in the site. It is important that an applicant has an active email account which is to be provided upon registration in the said job fair link.


If interested, applications should click the submit button. It will automatically add in their “My Application” option. To see the application details, applicants should click the view button.


To search for other available jobs, applicants may type the position then click the search button.


Job seekers may only submit their local jobs application during the weeklong fair, but they can verify the status of their applications beyond 12 June 2021.


An initial of 1,577 overseas job listings are accessible through POEA’s website at from five licensed manpower agencies.


Overseas vacancies are mostly Registered Nurses and skilled workers, mostly bound to Australia, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Japan and the United Kingdom.


The online job fair is organized by DOLE and the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), in coordination with the DOLE Regional Offices and its corresponding Provincial Field Offices.


Moreover, on 7 June 2021; 8:30 AM, DOLE-X will host an online Talakayan in collaboration with the Philippine Information Agency, the information-communication arm of the government. On this day, a three-segment briefers of partners will advocate to the public the said event as well as labor and employment programs in the time of this new normal.


Invited panelists for Segment one are Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA REU-X) on available overseas vacancies; Mynimo on their guide to access their job-search site; and Employees’ Compensation Commission (ECC-X) on compensable COVID-19 workplace diseases;


Segment two invitees are Department of Trade and Industry on accessing their programs for entrepreneurs or would-be entrepreneurs; and Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board on their Productivity Toolbox for MSMEs.


Moreover, segment three covers Technical Education and Skills Development Authority’s success stories on available skills training opportunities; and also Overseas Workers’ Welfare Administration’s OFW success stories who availed their programs.


Interested participants are all invited to listen and know more on these topics through the live streaming in our official DOLE-X Facebook pages - DOLE NorthMin. It is encouraged that participants to press “like” in the said official social media page to be in the know on labor and employment rules and various programs.


This virtual job and business fair system is in compliance with the government safety and health restrictions on mass gatherings in preventing the spread of COVID-19 virus.


Moreover, this is the response of the government through this Department as the economy rebounds and some countries are gradually opening their economies.


This year’s 123rd Philippine Independence Day celebration Trabaho-Negosyo-Kabuhayan Job and Business Fair celebration in the region is anchored on the theme, “Kalayaan 2021: Diwa ng Kalayaan sa Pagkakaisa at Paghilom ng Bayan”.
