Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon --- The Department of Labor and Employment, Regional Office No. X (DOLE-X) -Bukidnon Provincial Field Office (Buk PFO) in coordination with the Bukidnon Tripartite Industrial Peace Council (BTIPC), facilitated the teambuilding and benchmarking activities on 17-18 November at the Saddle Ridge Camp, Brgy. Dahilayan, this municipality.
DOLE-X Buk PFO Head Raul L. Valmores explained that the BTIPC is an advisory and consultative body composed of representatives from the workers, management and government legally constituted for a common purpose.
“This activity aims to promote and maintain the state of understanding, cooperation and concerned involvements in various issues of every sector, which may lead to promotion, sustenance of productivity and industrial peace,” Valmores shared.
The teambuilding likewise boost the rapport among members and align them on their shared purpose, goals and targets. “These also help them establish an optomistic outlook and at the same time strengthen their knowledge to improve quality delivery of services in their respective offices,” Valmores added.
“All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. As the current Officers of this council, we also need time to “play” and enjoy the scenery of this place. This will help us relax our bodies and minds for us to perform our assigned tasks effectively,” Valmores likewise shared.
Likewise, Del Monte Philippines, Inc. (DMPI) and Rebisco were visited to benchmark their successful programs, projects, and services which focused on industrial peace, labor and management relations and community services to their clients.
Mr. Jennifer Astillo, DMPI Union President and currently BTIPC Vice-Chair for Labor Sector expressed his gratitude, “I’ve been to many teambuilding activaties but this particular one is more effective for me. I learned while enjoying. Thank you very much to DOLE-X Buk PFO, headed by Mr. Raul L. Valmores for initiating this activity and for inviting us to attend.”
“We are now more prepared to address the work-related problems we encounter daily in our offices,” Astillo expressed.
