Of which, another 125 jobstarters were employed after the said life skills training.

Atty. Suyao further stated, “We are confident that you [the graduates] are all ready for the world of work, since you have undergone the different trainings to equip you. There will be a stiff competition when you apply for jobs; however, you already have an edge because you have the skills and experience that the employers are looking for.” He encouraged the jobstarters to ‘not lost sight of what they aim for, and to work for it.’

Lai-la Besingan, one of the jobstarters completed the full cycle training and was absorbed as a cashier by Alomah’s Place, a partner employer. “JobStart has changed my life. It taught me to be confident and to face a lot of people. The program came at the right time in my life when I was about to lose hope of finding a job, but because of JobStart I am able to start a new life and the future has become brighter, not just for me, but also for my family,” she further shared.

Another jobstarter who also completed the full cycle training and absorbed by Dahilayan Forest Park as a service crew, John Michael Morales shared the same sentiment, “Jobstart made a big impact in my life. It made me become a better worker and a better person. I can now help my family financially.”

Furthermore, Mayor Quiño encouraged the graduates that “this is just the beginning as the real challenge is when you go out to the world of work and find a new job.”

The said graduation ceremony was done to recognize the efforts of both the jobstarters and partner employers for their unwavering support and dedication of improving the employability of the youth and granting them the greater chances of being productive members of the labor market.
