More than 5,000 job vacancies on DOLE-Iligan LGU-Christian Horizon-MYDev 1st Job Fair

 

Iligan City --- The City Government thru its Public Employment Service Office (PESO) and in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment, Regional Office No. X (DOLE-X) thru the Lanao del Norte Provincial Field Office (LDN PFO), Philippine Overseas Employment Administration, Regional Extension Unit -X (POEA-REU-X), Christian Horizon School, Incorporated and the Mindanao Youth for Development (MYDev) Program will be having a one-day Job Fair on Tuesday, 26 February 2019 at the Atrium of Robinsons Place, Tubod, this city.

 

DOLE-X LDN PFO Chief Remegio D. Cabañog informed that this will be the first time  that the LGU and the Department to collaborate with the Christian Horizon School, Inc. and MYDev Program. “I am inviting all our jobseekers most especially the upcoming Senior High graduates, as well as the Out of School Youth (OSY) who have completed the Jobstart Philippines program life-skills and technical trainings conducted by the MyDev- United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Cabañog added.

 

Further, Cabañog reported that as of Thursday, 21 February 2019, 12 POEA accredited recruitment agencies and 25 local companies/establishments have already signified their attendance bringing along some 5,278 job vacancies.  Among the top vacant occupations include nurses; medical technologists; radiologic technicians; engineers; systems analysts; information technologists; warehousemen; electricians; plumbers; masons; carpenters; janitors; bakers; cooks; bartender; security guards; tutors;   supervisors; managerial positions; quality control analysts; safety officers; service crew; clerks; teachers; accountants; collectors; inspectors; and call center representatives.

 

Chief Cabañog announced that the jobseekers must be fully prepared when they participate in the job fair.

 

“I invite our jobseekers to participate in the Job Fair and ready themselves with their proper business attire, bring multiple copies of resumes, school credentials, certificates of employment, clearances, photos, passport (for overseas applicants), and other pertinent pre-employment documents needed by employers,” Cabañog added.

 

To expedite registration, applicants are advised to pre-register at the official government job search portal or the PhilJobNet (http://philjobnet.gov.ph/), click the  "Job Fair" tab, search for "LGU/PESO Iligan City in partnership with Christian Horizon School, Incorporated and Mindanao Youth for Development”, click "Join JobFair". Present your printed Job Fair stub at the registration desk on the day of the Job Fair.
