Cagayan de Oro City — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE-X) Misamis Oriental Provincial Field Office (Mis. Or. PFO) held a Workers Organization and Development Program (WODP) Capacity Building Training on DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP) to 50 DOLE Accredited Co- Partners (ACPs) of the province on 26 May 2022 at Marianne Suites, this city.
DOLE-X Mis. Or. PFO Chief Errol A. Natividad said the training equipped ACPs or DOLE program partners responsible for the direct delivery of services to the target livelihood beneficiaries. They are the workers’ organizations, peoples’ organizations, and non-government organizations, and all local government units that have passed the accreditation requirements of DOLE.
Natividad said ACPs address various concerns that emerge during livelihood project implementation by the organizations. The training discussed issues to improve communication and promote coordination between DOLE, ACP and the organization to sustain and boost the businesses or projects.
Under DILEEP, ACPs knew their roles and the implementing rules and regulations on the various livelihood programs and Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced workers (TUPAD) or emergency employment program for an effective project implementation.
Natividad welcomed William T. Crisp Foundation, Incorporated; Interfaith Asisla International, Inc.; and New Mindanao Transport Service Cooperative (NEMINTSCO) as new ACPs of the province.
DILEEP contributes to poverty reduction and reduce the vulnerability to risks of the working poor, vulnerable and marginalized workers either through emergency employment, and promotion of entrepreneurship and community enterprises.
TUPAD is a community-based package of assistance that provides emergency employment for displaced workers, the underemployed and vulnerable ones for a minimum of 10 days but not to exceed 90 days, depending on the nature of work.
