Cagayan de Oro City – Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE-X) Regional Director Albert E. Gutib assured the public/clients on its continuing service quality improvement highlighting gainful employment opportunities; develop human resources, ensure workers’ protection and promote their welfare; and sustain industrial peace. This continued ISO 9001:2015 Certification was confirmed by SOCOTEC Certification Philippines during the closing meeting of its First Surveillance Audit on 7 October 2022.

Gutib said DOLE-X cascades the mandate of the central leadership to enroll its programs and support services to ensure customer satisfaction at par with the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Since 2013, DOLE-X has been in the forefront in the continual improvement in implementing programs and services by complying with the standard processes in accordance with RA 11063 or the Ease of Doing Business and other prescribed DOLE guidelines, adhering to timeliness, efficient and effective services and program management easier and faster to all its clients all over the region.

Gutib said the convergence of efforts and commitment of the men and women of this Department, support of the leadership, both at the national and regional levels, paved the way for the sustained certification through the years.

Every year, DOLE-X is subjected for this audit to validate conformity to the international standards of the certification. Latest re-certification by the certifying body was last 31 December 2021, where procedural audit undertaken was through online or virtual considering the high incidence of COVID-19 in the region

Gutib said, this year, the Regional Office, Bukidnon and Misamis Oriental Provincial Field Offices’ processes were validated of their compliance by SOCOTEC team headed by Mark Anthony Ilagan as the Lead Auditor and Marisse Cruz as his support auditor based on the evidence-based mechanism of verification/validation.

The office was also lauded by SOCOTEC of its innovations, improvements and dedicated team efforts toward QMS.

ISO 9001:2015 specifies requirements for a quality management system when an organization needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products and services that comply with legal requirements, meet customer requirements, and ensure customer satisfaction and sustained pro-active relation with interested parties.

All the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 are generic and are intended to be applicable to any organization regardless of type or size, or products and services it provides.
