MAMBAJAO, CAMIGUIN — The 820 Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) recipients were oriented on the program on 29 July 2022 at the Municipal Hall, here.

Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE-X) Camiguin Provincial Field Office (Cam PFO) Chief Arlyn Bael said the training is part of the orientation package of the program in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) thru Mayor Yñigo Jesus Romualdo and the Public Employment Service Office (PESO).

Bael said the beneficiaries are self-employed, underemployed, and seasonal workers of the municipality whose income were affected by the pandemic. Each recipient will get P365 salary per day covering a 10 day’ work period from August 1-10, 2022.

[I am grateful that I am one of the TUPAD beneficiaries. This will help me buy rice and food since I am unemployed and my husband is a rice farmer with low income.]

[We should take care of the financial assistance provided by the government. LGU Mambajao together with DOLE will always find means to financially aid Mambajao constituents to improve their living conditions.]

Together with PESO Manager Atanacio P. Lusdoc, Jr., the DOLE-X Cam PFO will closely monitor the program implementation. Personal protective equipment (PPE) like sweat shirt; facemask and cap were distributed.

The TUPAD program is a community-based package of assistance that provides emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed and seasonal workers for a minimum period of 10 days, but not to exceed a maximum of 90 days, depending on the nature of work to be performed.
